1.1.2 Usos de las tags questions.

Se usan en la conversación para:

a) Afirmar o negar lo que se ha dicho.
b) Preguntar lo que no sabemos.

Cuando le decimos a un conocido: ” los precios se siguen incrementado ¿Verdad? “ esta mini- pregunta es una tag question .

Si, así es. ( ¿No es así? ¿No? ¿Cierto? ¿Verdad? ¿Sí? )

It is very cold, isn´t it? / Hace mucho frío, ¿no es así?

Las tag questions son preguntas cortas al final de una oración, se apoyan de los verbos auxiliares, have, was, will , étc.

I have not caught any fish, have you? / No he atrapado algún pez y tú?

No , I haven’t yet but I will . / No todavía no, pero lo haré .

Indirect questions in simple past tense

Oración declarativa afirmativa en pasado
She won the election.

Pregunta directa en pasado
When did she win the election?

Pregunta indirecta en pasado
I wonder when she won the election.
