some, any, no, much, many

“Some” se utiliza generalmente, en oraciones afirmativas con sustantivos contables e incontables, aunque también se emplea en oraciones interrogativas al  ofrecer o pedir algo de manera amable, y donde se espera que la respuesta a estas preguntas sea afirmativa. Ejemplos:

Some en oraciones afirmativas

I have some leather shoes at home. / Tengo algunos zapatos de piel en casa.

There is some rice in that black bag. / Hay algo de arroz en esa bolsa negra.

Some en peticiones y ofrecimientos

Would you like some more coffee? / ¿Le gustaría un poco más de café?

Yes, please / Si, por favor.

Could you bring me some more cookies, please? / ¿Podría traerme más galletas por favor?

Yes of course. / Si, por supuesto.

 “Any” se utiliza solamente en enunciados negativos o interrogaciones, con sustantivos contables o incontables.

 “No” se usa únicamente en oraciones afirmativas, con sustantivos contables e incontables.

“Much” se utiliza en oraciones afirmativas, negativas e interrogativas, junto a un sustantivo incontable.

“Many” se utiliza en oraciones afirmativas, negativas e interrogativas, junto a un sustantivo contable.
